On December 18th Elm Creek School’s Parent Advisory Council hosted a free Pancake Breakfast for the students, staff, parents and community members. Besides the delicious pancakes and sausage, we were treated to the sounds of the season provided by many music students. Many donations of toques, mittens, scarves and socks were collected for The Bear Clan Patrol which provides assistance and support to thousands of people in need in the inner city neighbourhoods in Winnipeg. Over $600 in monetary funds were also collected for Elm Creek School’s Helping Hand Fund, a fund that helps to purchase school supplies, pay sports registrations and fill other such needs in our school community. It was a great way to start the morning and this special holiday time of year!
