The Kindergarten to Grade 12 students had the pleasure of meeting David Robertson, an Indigenous author from Winnipeg and Governor General Literary Winner. He spoke about the importance of Truth and Reconciliation, identity and how the importance of reading books about different cultures, written by people from that culture. We also had the opportunity to learn about treaties and the 7 Teachings from Elder Marlene Gallagher, who works with the Manitoba Treaty Commission.
